"An Outdoor Game Room"
“Family Games” is the theme of the 2009 Flower and Patio Show. In keeping with the theme, Aspen has created a 1250 sq.ft. garden inspired by traditional American basements. Basements have been utilized mainly as spaces dedicated for entertaining and Aspen’s Garden entitled “An Outdoor Game Room” is no exception.
With games for the young and the young-at-heart, Aspen’s garden is the perfect space to cozy up to a fire with a book or play checkers on the floor. If cards are the game of choice, a custom stone card table is the centerpiece with seating for eight or more. While playing cards, one can enjoy a hearty meal from the outdoor kitchen or cold beverages from the outdoor bar.
If a more intimate space is desired, the spa is the ideal location to relax next to a warm fire.
As one transitions from the game room, into the “lawn”, a hopscotch layout in pavers keeps the kids entertained or a dartboard mounted to a cedar screen makes for the perfect outdoor pastime all while surrounded by the beauty of fragrant flowers, privacy-building evergreens, and colorful bulbs.
